Sadhana of Kindness Lung (reading transmission)

March 29th

Date details +
    Room: Main Meditation Hall

For those interested in receiving the Sadhana of Kindness for their personal study and practice, a lung (reading transmission) will be given by Shastri Kim Kelso. Limited copies of the Sadhana will be available for purchase; suggested cost is $27.

A sadhana, literally “means of accomplishment,” is a liturgical practice that presents a guided meditation to accomplish a specific purpose - in this case, the cultivation of kindness. In the Buddhist and Shambhala traditions kindness is understood as the innate longing for connection that enables us to put others before ourselves. Engaging in kindness connects us directly with others. Through kindness life becomes a mutual celebration of our shared humanity.

The lung will be followed by a light supper, then the Friday night talk for the Level I - Art of Being Human class at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend the Friday night talk.
