Nalanda Miksang Course Group

September 24th—October 22nd (2017)

Date details +

This group is for people enrolled in the Shambhala Online course Contemplative Photography: Nalanda Miksang Level I - September 2017.

This course is Level I of three programs in the Nalanda Miksang (Tibetan for “good eye”) curriculum. The Miksang Society offers several programs, courses and events that present a form of contemplative photography. This school of contemplative photography brings together the art of photography, the discipline of meditation and the Dharma Art teachings of the meditation master and scholar Chögyam Trungpa.

During this group time, we will discuss the weekly assigned reading as well as take opportunities to shoot photos as part of the weekly assignment. We will also have a group conversation with Miriam Hall, the program director, during one of our sessions. Light snacks and food will be provided. Following completion of the program, we will discuss ways that we can continue to work with this material at the Phoenix Shambhala Center.

There is no cost for this group; however, the group is limited to those enrolled in the online course. Registration for the course is currently open and available on Shambhala Online’s website. As with all Shambhala programs various payment options are available for those needing financial support and those interested in supporting fellow participants with financial needs; see the registration page for details.
