Milarepa Day ONLINE from Shambhala Land Centers

February 27th

Date details +
Room: ZOOM - This is an online event

Milarepa Day is one of the annual celebrations of our community. It is the custom on this day for practitioners to come together and read the entirety of The Rain of Wisdom, a collection of Kagyu lineage holder devotional songs and stories. In doing so, it is possible to deeply connect to the poetic words of great wisdom holders who, like Milarepa, struggled with disillusionment, worked with renunciation, and searched for a spiritual path with great devotion, courage, and insight.

Shambhala Land Centers Dorje Denma Ling (Nova Scotia), Shambhala Mountain Center (Colorado), and Karme Chöling (Vermont) are working in partnership to host an online Zoom version of this annual day-long celebration on:

    Saturday, February 27 from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. EST. (7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Arizona time)

See the Zoom link below. No registration is required and you may join any or all of the three sessions, although you should enter or leave the event only during the scheduled 30-minute break periods (10:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M.), not during the chanting. Please see this communication from the Shambhala Board for more information and a complete schedule.

Participants are asked to bring their own copies of the chants and the Rain of Wisdom book.
